DESCRIPTION:Homesteading is a growing grassroots movement in North America 
 because people are developing a greater need to become more self-sufficien
 t in how they live.  They want more control over their food and shelter re
 quirements\, so they are choosing to create different lifestyles and prior
 ities than most people.  It is an exciting time to be able to have the fre
 edom to choose a different path.  With a little knowledge and some time sp
 ent learning new skills\, you too can learn how to create your own self-su
 fficient homestead whether you live in the city\, country or suburbs in-be
 tween.  We will explore a brief history of what homesteading is all about\
 , it’s pro’s and con’s\, the essential components\, how to integrate
  or transition with your preferred timing or budget constraints. We will g
 o through some details of food awareness\, gardening\, storage options\, p
 reservation techniques\, small scale livestock care and shelters. You will
  leave the day with a plan of where to begin your homesteading transition 
 steps.
