This unique workshop will inspire you to create your own personalized, healthy building, body and inter-connected landscape healing plan.
Homesteading is a growing grassroots movement in North America because people are developing a greater need to become more self-sufficient in how they live. They want more control over their food and shelter requirements, so they are choosing to create different lifestyles and priorities than most people. It is an exciting time to be able to have the freedom to choose a different path. With a little knowledge and some time spent learning new skills, you too can learn how to create your own self-sufficient homestead whether you live in the city, country or suburbs in-between. We will explore a brief history of what homesteading is all about, it’s pro’s and con’s, the essential components, how to integrate or transition with your preferred timing or budget constraints. We will go through some details of food awareness, gardening, storage options, preservation techniques, small scale livestock care and shelters. You will leave the day with a plan of where to begin your homesteading transition steps.
